Ever have this happen to you? After spending 20 minutes writing the best thing you have ever typed on a keyboard, you hit the Submit button and your Nobel winning masterpiece disappears into great electronic ether.

You swear. You slam your fists on the desk. Nothing helps and your attempt at writing the whole thing over falls far short of your original eloquence.

Here's a tip that has saved me great frustration and probably added a few years to my lifespan:

Get in the habit of doing a "save" before you hit the Submit or Preview button. The way to do this is by copying your post to the Windows clipboard.

In the editor window, select all your text so that it is highlighted, either by dragging your cursor or using the easier shortut of pressing CTRL+A.

When your text is selected, press CTRL+C to copy it to the clipboard. It's that easy! Then, if you hit the Submit or Preview button and the worst happens, at least you can start a new post and use CTRL+V to paste your text back in without typing it all over again or trying to remember what you said.

Another associated tip would be to please Preview your posts before you submit, especially if you are using any [Tags] or linked pictures to see that they display first.

Just don't forget to CTRL+C your posts first.
