I think Mr Rogers has struck again at SWR... -Chip

(From the SWR site..)
Enforcement Topics!
Effective Immediately!

We will no longer allow posts and threads that are centered on bashing the government and police departments for how they enforce speed.

Now, this does not mean that discussions about detectors, cameras and speed traps will not be allowed, it simply means that discussing the WHY will not be allowed. Knowing where cameras are, how RADAR and LIDAR works and how police use those tools are allowed, just the discussion as to the motivation should be avoided.

It also does not mean we believe that the practices of our government agencies are proper, just that any discussion of the WHY is a political discussion and will NEVER be resolved on a forum such as this.

Since these type of discussion bring no positive value to the site, they are not allowed.

If there are any questions feel free to ask here or PM me directly.

I just got done reading the whole thing over there. He locked the Geico thread too because it was "political".

I would totally love to post a reply to his "FREE SPEECH" and "Enforcement" topics and say "come to DooberVille" but I piss him off enough as it is. I'd rather not have truely political stuff like republican/democrat shit on here but a good conspiracy theory like Geico giving radar detectors to the cops or any other "big brother" type stuff is fine, as long as nobody uses the forum to organize the coming American revolution. We have news headlines from abovetopsecret.com on the right side of the forum for a reason and that is to bring to light and possibly discuss all kinds of alternative topics and points of view including all manner of government corruption, coverups, abuse of power, etc., etc.

I guess he really wants to enforce his "vision" but I see it as just wanting to be prim, proper and politically correct. His totally anal retentive, obsessive personality is shining brightly today. :)

I'd like to know who pushed his button but I kind of have an idea who the culprits might be. It's silly too because everyone knows radar traps and speed cameras and that stuff are just to put money in the kitty. Hell, our very own Govenor doesn't deny it is more about revenue than safety. :(

SWR - keepin' it vanilla for your protection.

Don't get me wrong, it's a great board but is so narrowly focused, it hardly gives a chance for the community he wants so bad to build, to actually become one.

I just checked the last few posts in both those threads and even Trouble is telling him to chill.

Yeah. I feel stifled posting much of anything over there anymore. I appreciate the rides section, and I've picked up a thing or two reading how other people fix things, deal with insurance, photo radar, and the like.

But he's so cop-crazy and he thinks we all should love the P.D. like he does. Well, it just isn't much fun to get on there anymore and have to watch ~~every~little~thing~~ you say. Phooey.

There's no reason we can't be adults and agree to disagree on any topic.
Oh well.
