VJMC, Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club (http://www.vjmc.org/) is a national organization with a newly forming Arizona chapter. They are holding their first group event on Sept. 6th and I am told that the 35 local members haven't even met each other yet!
This sounds like fun and I plan on attending. Chip, you in?

I'm getting excited!
Word is that they are expecting 75 to 100 bikes. Not sure where they're going to put them all in the parking lot of the Mexican restaurant but I'm going anyway!
W00t! :transport-040:

I am toying with the idea of a little bike info sheet and of course a plug for the 'Ville.

Oh holy hell! It's Friday night and I think I may have thrown my back out? Don't know if it's going to be a 1-day problem and be better in the morning or be a week long problem?
Dammit, it sucks getting old. I injured my back in 1990 landing my CR-250 off a mega jump and it has never been the same since. I'm good for months at a time then do something stupid and have pain for over a week sometimes. All I'm hoping for right now is that I can finish detailing my bike out a little bit and ride to the damned event on Saturday evening. It's going to be 108º tomorrow and still pretty toasty at 6:00pm but it should be cooled down to 105º by then. :ack2:
Anyway, I messed around with my little hanger thing a little more but don't know if I'll even take it out of my tank bag?
You like?

I'm going to pour myself a Dos XX Amber and lay on the heating pad for a spell.

Boy, it's gonna be tough but I'm committed to making it unless I can't hold the bike upright?
I did manage to make it out to the garage to clean up my bike a little. I'm hunched over and feel like a little old lady that needs a walker. I layed down on the floor to clean off the bottom of my pipes and couldn't get up for 5 minutes of trying. It hurts like freakin' hell.
Ow my achin' sacroiliac! (thats where my problem is-it isn't a disk thing).
I took 4 Motrin and am going to try 30 minutes of heat then grunt my way through taking a shower and going to the grocery store. If I sit in this chair for too long right now, I'll seize up solid. I might have to pick up some of those heat wrap things to make it through the evening which will be fun standing around in 100º temps. :ack2:

Well crapola, I have a sliced tire and it's gonna be next week before I can get another. Damn Phoenix and the junk on the roads anyway!
At least I wasn't riding when the tire died. No riding tonight though.
Arrgh.

Too bad you missed it. I saw this yellow Yamaha and thought it was yours.

There are some great photos over at SWR. http://www.southwestrides.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=82237#post82237
Birdman has a gallery with many pics at: http://flickr.com/photos/mousephotography/sets/72157607153022626/
It was pretty cool and there were some very nice machines there. I hung out with Klondike (Tom) and wife Sue for a bit and met quite a few guys from SWR. I ended up eating dinner all by my lonesome.
My back (sacroiliac) wasn't too bad at all. I think riding actually helped? :)
