Police searches for guns without warrants stirs intense opposition
Boston police officials, surprised by intense opposition from residents, have significantly scaled back and delayed the start of a program that would allow officers to go into people's homes and search for guns without a warrant.

Intense opposition? Well no **** Sherlock! Knock Knock! Who's there? Um, it's the cops and we just want to come in and have a look around and see if your kids have guns.

Seriously, people that allow this type of thing to blindly happen need some edumacation.

This story seems to have gotten the DC police some bad press so they have modified the proceedure so it isn't quite so gestapo.


D.C. Police Changing Plan For Gun Searches at Homes
WASHINGTON (AP) -- D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier says she's changing a plan for searches of private homes for illegal guns.
The chief now says searches would be done by appointment unless there is an urgent need. Police and city lawyers are still trying to work out what can and can't be done during these searches.

i tell ya, ---anybody that would let a cop into their home at all is really just wayyyyy uninformed and deserves to get tripped up.

i always carry at least one side arm on me at all times ( and i do not care where i am at )-------i sleep with another one under my pillow.
i would never go anywhere without one ,---

when i am mountainbiking i have a small 38 with me .

i just can not believe the people that walk around with no protection at all on them .

and then blindly letting the cops in to search for guns ----------man if they came to see me they better be loaded for bear----------( i have way more fire power and ammo than they carry .)

or how about the school shootings ,
i just can not believe the stupid students and teachers at the schools that just let a shooter walk around and kill people because no one else is armed ----thats just crazy,

i really wished i would have been there that day of one of those school shootings---------he would have started -----but it would have ended way quicker with less problems .

its just a shame that most people just really have no idea what is happening and really going on in this country. :eek:
