Some honesty from Bob, lol.
I do like the liveries that Buddy Rice and Oriol Servia have on their cars this weekend. Not sure if I love TK's new one for today.

Dixon says he got a tow on that quick lap. Could be gamesmanship, though.

Hmm, John Dick has joined KVRT.

LittleAlguy

215.553 4-lap average for Dixon. That will be tough to beat.
LittleAlguy
09-06-2008, 03:08 PM
Danica just missed out on pole. Provisional 2nd at a 215.548.
LittleAlguy
09-06-2008, 03:29 PM
Wow, this is fishy. "Are we sticking with 'the plan'?"
edit: apparently, Helio either did not or chose not to listen in the drivers' meeting.

Briscoe wins pole with a 215.818 4-lap average. Congrats to them.

Helio to the back for his line-crossing (literally) : http://www.indycar.com/news/?story_id=12479

I had stuff to do and only saw the first lap of qualifying. The guys were saying that TPTB were closely watching for cars dipping under the white line so when I got caught up, I wasn't too surprised to see someone have their times thrown out, but HELIO?? Damn.
LittleAlguy
09-07-2008, 01:19 PM
Should be interesting how they play the strategy as a result. Could have just done that from the top 5 and see what happens from there but no!!
LittleAlguy
09-07-2008, 01:35 PM
Talk about ducking the question. :ack2:
LittleAlguy
09-07-2008, 01:38 PM
Did you know Dixon ran out of fuel on the last lap at Chicagoland last year? :p
ÜberDoober
09-07-2008, 01:39 PM
With all this pre-race stuff, will they call it a timed race so they can fit it in?
LittleAlguy
09-07-2008, 01:48 PM
I don't think so. They don't tend to do that unless there's rain. End early, that is.
LittleAlguy
09-07-2008, 01:52 PM
That 2nd start was the best of the season, perhaps.
Helio up to 18th.
ÜberDoober
09-07-2008, 01:55 PM
Helio is a man on a mission. Nice to see multiple grooves.
LittleAlguy
09-07-2008, 01:56 PM
Good stuff so far.
Carpenter to 5th. Nice start of the race for him. Now 4th by DP.
LittleAlguy
09-07-2008, 01:58 PM
Viso is making a nice run up to the front as well. He's towing Helio.
Danica slipping slightly.
LittleAlguy
09-07-2008, 02:02 PM
Rahal making a good run.
Here's Viso and Scheckter. Hopefully, they will remember what happened at Kansas.
Now they're settling a little.
LittleAlguy
09-07-2008, 02:06 PM
Viso to 11th.
Carpenter heavy in the wall.
ÜberDoober
09-07-2008, 02:07 PM
Carpenter provides the first yellow and some pretty flames.
LittleAlguy
09-07-2008, 02:13 PM
Haha. Good thing he's ok.
LittleAlguy
09-07-2008, 02:22 PM
Stop making me nervous, Reid.
ÜberDoober
09-07-2008, 02:25 PM
Danica whining about being blocked. How ironic.
LittleAlguy
09-07-2008, 02:25 PM
Big momentum loss. The 2nd pack is pretty dicey.
LittleAlguy
09-07-2008, 02:33 PM
Meira into the wall. Not the way to end his season. :(
ÜberDoober
09-07-2008, 02:33 PM
Caution is out. Who is it? Meira. Dang!
ÜberDoober
09-07-2008, 02:35 PM
Castroneves out first! :)
LittleAlguy
09-07-2008, 02:48 PM
Sorry, I can't write. This is way too insane, lol.

Oopsie. Rahal takes our Rice. No root beer for you today. :)
LittleAlguy
09-07-2008, 02:57 PM
Rice cocked up in the pits with Rahal. That's a lot of damage for a pit lane collision.
ÜberDoober
09-07-2008, 03:01 PM
Oh too bad for Sarah. Poop. :(
LittleAlguy
09-07-2008, 03:11 PM
Dixon is really cutting it close. Now it looks as though he's getting the handle back.
ÜberDoober
09-07-2008, 03:15 PM
There goes Viso's good run.
LittleAlguy
09-07-2008, 03:20 PM
Milka leads (staying out)!! This should be an interesting restart.
ÜberDoober
09-07-2008, 03:39 PM
Moraes in the wall. There goes the fuel issues. What an amazing race.
LittleAlguy
09-07-2008, 03:39 PM
Moraes out. :( He was running so well.
LittleAlguy
09-07-2008, 03:42 PM
Again with the first pit stall helping them out, lol.
LittleAlguy
09-07-2008, 03:47 PM
A little too quick with the yellow there, I guess?
LittleAlguy
09-07-2008, 03:52 PM
What an amazing race!
ÜberDoober
09-07-2008, 03:54 PM
Congratulations to Scott Dixon and TCG.
That was a fantastic nail biter. On the replay it looked like Helio won.
