Holy cow! Man alive!

Even though Wheldon took one for the team by parking it in the tire barrier at Belle Isle :), the Chipster dumps him like a hot rock. Interesting.

It'll be great to have Dario back. The NASCAR thing was just silly but Ganassi is still playing puppetmaster. As you know, I'm not a Ganassi fan. ;)

Vitor has been solid this year. He should end up somewhere, I hope.

Now, if we could just get Sam Hornish back and a full time ride for PT...

Yeah, that Ganassi is a tricky fellow. I also read that he wants to get a third car for Alex Lloyd if he can get the funding. That last part is always the tricky part given what happened with his Grand-Am team cutting back a car and the travails of Franchitti's team failing to get a sponsor as well as losing Texaco for JPM after this season.

Rahal-Letterman is planning on a 2nd car (again, pending sponsorship). He would be a nice fit with Ryan Hunter-Reay. Not to mention that he too would be back in familiar territory.

Do you think there should be an official silly season thread or just have it so that each announcement gets its own thread?

Losing Texaco in NASCAR is kind of sad. In the '80's, I was a fan of Davey Allison who drove the Texaco car and I still think of him today when I see JPM.
