My Spidey sense is tingling - there is something in the air today!

As many parts of the country are begining to have thoughts of winter, snow and parking their bikes in a warm garage for a few months, those of us in this here neck 'o the woods are thinking just the opposite.

After a hot summer of many many 110º plus degree days and one 118º degree scorcher, there was a hint in the air this morning, a hope, that things may be changing soon?

As I headed out for work today, the sub 80º temps were foreign but yet inspiring. With mid-day temps barely breaking 100, the promise of our prime riding season is just around the corner.

But, it ain't over yet. Record for today was 110º set in 2001 and I wouldn't be surprised if we have another hot spell before October but it was so beautiful this morning, I just wanted to get on my bike and go riding for a few hours.

I just can't wait! Can't wait to ditch my Teknic mesh jacket and switch back to my awesome leather Alpinestars jacket. Can't wait to need a few layers and wear my good leather gloves. Can't wait indeed!

For me, riding when it's 114º has lost its appeal and city riding will push my Ninja's temp gauge way too close to the red. Having long hair and a soaked sweaty head isn't exactly my type of fun either even though I did it for many years when I was younger.

Anyway, my bike is all shiny and clean from going to the vintage Japanese motorcycle thing and if everything falls into place, after Formula 1 on Sunday morning, I think I'm going to sneak out and blow some gas money.

Can't wait! :p

Yep it's getting close to prime that is for sure. The only down side is our days get shorter too...oh well can't have your cake and eat it too I suppose. Last Saturday we headed up the SRC for some laps then on over to Heber/Payson and home.....it was fantasitc until we hit the downslope coming out of Payson.
