Hey! The Pacific times are confusing! The Fri, Sat & Sun is really Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. MotoGP race is Saturday night at 10:00pm on the West Coast and in Arizona

Ruh Rho! First MotoGP practice is underway and it appears to be raining? It's 68º F so it isn't too cold.

This is so weird to be on now. It wasn't all making sense to me because Formula 1 is in Singapore this weekend, which isn't all that far from Japan, but there's no live F1 until early tomorrow morning. Then it dawned on me that the Formula 1 race is at night (their first). Still seems like they should be closer together. :confused:

At any rate, this is one where you east coast guys get to show how dedicated of a fan you are and those of us in the Pacific time zone catch a break this time. There's no video for FP1 but I'm hoping there will be for FP2 that comes on the convenient time of 9:55pm. I can dig it!

Fifteen minutes into the session and Nicky F'n Hayden is on top followed by Rossi, Lorenzo and Edwards. Capirossi is down in 13th and 5 seconds off but Stoner is in 15th and 8 seconds down.

FP1 Results:

So is this just a question of Hayden finally being optimistic about his future or has he found something with the Honda. Wouldn't that be ironic.

The imp we all love to hate is really sucking. That makes me smile. :)

In the dry, things look a bit different. Pepebot looks pretty quick and Nicky has pace for about 9th? What the heck happened to Lorenzo? Rossi didn't seem particularly happy with his setup.

Could be a good race if Valentino decides to mix it up at the front? Wouldn't blame him for holding back a bit to clinch the title but we'll just have to wait and see.

Dovi confirmed to replace Hayden at at HRC. Like it's a big surprise or anything. JIR has announced Honda won't lease them bikes and they aren't going to play next year. :(

Maybe I was wrong about Nicky's pace? He ran top 5 all session. Up until Stoner threw on a qualifier, the top 5 were were within three tenths of each other. Qualifying up in two hours and I'm standing by. There should be video and hopefully Nick & Gavin?

Valentino tops the final warmup session. Just a few more hours to go! I think I'll even watch the 250's, something that's usually on too early to see.

Yea! First half of the race wasn't bad. Nicky hangs on to finish 5th. Weird celebration thing there with a desk at the end but what do you expect when it's Rossi? :)

I find it funny reading the practice times, qualifying, etc. It doesn't matter. Rossi will kill ya from whatever starting position he's in. Congrats to him on number 8.
