We had to borrow the Speed Insider Forum schedule this week. Thanks guys!
With only one race remaining after this one, we can only hope that the Chinese GP doesn't turn into the cluster that was Japan. With some crazy driving and some crazy officiating, this week has got to be better. Will we see Hamilton choke and beach his McLaren like he did last year? Will he banzai turn one again. Will Massa crash into anybody and get away with it? Oh, we can hardly wait.
We do admit that this one is going to be tough. On late on the west coast and on in the wee hours in the east. Looks like there is some overlap time with MotoGP too and of course, they're saying a 60% chance of rain for the race. Boy howdy!

I ended up watching the live feed on motogp.com for the two wheel boys in Malaysia and switching over to catch the last 25 minutes of the F1 second practice.
Looks like I'm going to have the same conflict for qualifying tonight but will set up for dual simultaneous viewing and try to keep up and try to keep awake. :) Planning for some nappy time this afternoon.

It's not quite the same without Bob. :o
I'm sick as a dog and have a raging fever tonight. I was sleeping but got up because not only is F1 qually on, so is MotoGP qualifying from Malaysia through my subscription package through motogp.com. Track is wet at Sepang but it's drying out.

I know he's subbed before but it's odd listening to Diffey do commentary with the other two amigos.
edit: yeah, this is the absolute worst timing for races for me. :/
edit 2: sorry to hear that you're still sick. :(

They're cutting it way close with Kubica. He'll only have one lap to do it if they get him back out there.

Out of Q1: Coulthard, Nakajima, Button, Sutil, Fisichella
Kubi barely makes it. :ack2:

Coulthard
Nakajima

That's bad timing.
It's too bad that a Can-Am type series isn't possible these days.
The main steward is a lawyer?

Tough luck for Kubica. :(

The only good thing is that BMW can be a little creative with their fuel load. Not sure how much they can do, though.

Man qualifying is exciting! MotoGP qual was insane too!
Hamilton on pole followed by Raikkonen and Massa. Let's just hope everybody keeps it together and runs a better race than Japan.
Can't wait for tomorrow. Hope I'm not dead. :ack2:
Nite nite.

Hamilton with another pole at China. Not sure if he'll feel too comfy with the two Ferraris alongside and behind him.

Yup. Just had some Red Bull, lol.
I can't wait for this race to start. Hopefully, it's just a straight battle. :)
How was the MotoGP race?

Oh boy. Let's see if he and McLaren learned from last year's mess.
In the rear, Bourdais is making progress after his rendez-vous with Trulli.
LittleAlguy

Webber in. 7.6 s stopped in his pit.

one-stoppers (?):
Nakajima
LittleAlguy

Yeah, I'm not sure how they can pull this off unless they switch Kimi to a three-stopper.
edit: so much for that. Massa has been pulling up about .5 seconds on Kimi the last few laps.
LittleAlguy
10-19-2008, 01:57 AM
Nakajima for his only stop.
Glock with his 2nd stop.

Kovalainen with a flat.
Yeesh.
I was hoping for a little more from Kovalainen this year. Maybe next year, I suppose.

Looks like it all comes down to Brazil. At least that race will be on at a reasonable time. :)
That was a perfect race for Hamilton.
