DooberVille is such a lovely town. Let's keep it that way you cute little Doobers.
Here are our forum rules concerning the use of bathroom language and naughty talk or pictures that aren't safe for work. Rules are also provided regarding the abuse of other members, personal attacks and flame wars.
POTTY MOUTH POLICY
DooberVille is for users over the age of 13. That doesn't mean you can cuss up a storm, use profanity or post material that is sexually explicit. Few words are banned here but that doesn't mean you can go overboard. Any post that I deem to be over the line will be deleted and an infraction given to the poster. Any posts that you find really offensive, please use the "report" button to let me know about it. After the situation has been reviewed, if the original poster wasn't being a good Doober, they will be promptly be beaten repeatedly about the head and shoulders.
POLITENESS & RESPECT POLICY
Don't be a dumbass and post stuff you shouldn't and don't be a jerk. That would include racist, sexist or homophobic comments and things that are against the law. Please keep DooberVille a nice place to live and visit. Personal attacks are not allowed and the word of the day will be "discuss the post, not the poster".
There are no politics and no religion in DooberVille so let's not discuss those issues here. That's not saying we can't talk about Government plots to implement ulterior agendas and what rat bastoids they are for withholding disclosure :rolleyes: but keep the discussion about the merits of your candidates/gods to yourself. Don't post or fall for flame bait. DooberVillie is better than that - respect your fellow Doobers.

Since many of the Doobers that hang out in MOTO & AUTOVILLE SPORTS are racing fans, it would be polite if didn't "spoil" the the results of the race with thread titles that scream "FINGLESCHINTZ WINS INDY" or something like that.
If you do want to be the first to share the news, your thread topic must contain a [SPOILERS] tag and not reveal the results of the event. It is also important to not post spoilers in an existing thread unless the topic is marked with the spoiler tag.
If you piss somebody off by posting a spoiler, you're going to get a bonk. Users can also ding the reputation of the moron making the post.
I'll have little sonny, Head, do his part by turning off RSS feeds on the forum for the weekend of Formula 1, MotoGP, etc.

Do everyone a favor and don't make stoopid one or two word posts. Don't post something like "I agree" as a reply or you will get a bonkin'. Instead, say something like "I agree because the source you referenced is known to provide reliable information". Show yur smarts, k? Please use english and not text message abbreviations. Common Intarwebs shorthand like LOL, LMAO and the like are okay, just don't get carried away. Any one making a post in 7pt letters will be bonked, then shot. Don't start topics or POST IN ALL CAPS unless you really mean to shout. Mom doesn't like it when you shout. (if big letters are abused, they will restricted)

Maybe Drew thinks only he can use it ;) but don't post anything you wouldn't want your boss or co-worker to walk by your desk and see. In other words, don't post stuff (especially pics) that is Not Safe For Work.

Copyrighted Material & Quoting External Sources
Do not cut and past copyrighted material or the contents of any entire story from any other source.
Do not post a link to any external story with out a few sentences of your description or opinion.It is permissible to post part of an external story as long as the [quote]tags are used around the external snippet and a link to the original material and title is is included. For example, a proper post would contain 1) a link to the full external source, 2) The exact title of the external story, and 3) your review or comment about the material. A good post quoting an external story would look something like this:

When a post is made with external content, you must provide your own few sentences/paragraphs stating your opinion on the linked story. Don't think just saying "wow, look at this" is good enough. It isn't and your post with external material will be bonked.

We want DooberVille to be about news and information and want you Doobers to find and share stories of interest, but all external material must be quoted exactly as shown in order to not run afoul or our DooberRULES.

Also, if someone makes a brilliant point, has expressed themselves eloquently, has a valid argument or gives you some good advice, you can click the Reputation button to give them a thanks. You can also give them a ding but this is not the same thing as the Report Post feature.

User reputations appear under the avatar area as green or red dots. Doobers who start showing the pretty little red dots will be under close scrutiny and may be subject to having their posts moderated. Let's everybody try to keep it green. After, that's the MSM's buzzword right now.
