With Suzuki's announcement that they will run three bikes in the AMA/DMG superbike class, it's all over. With no factory Hondas or Kawasakis, let's go ahead and give the title to Mat Mladin now and save all the expense in these tough economic times.

They're a bunch of goddamn cherry picking sonsabitches. With all the arm waving and lip flapping Suzuki has done about the DMG that probably cast enough doubt over the whole series and probably given Honda and Kawi that extra reason to pull out, a month before Daytona Suzuki decides to show up with a full factory effort.

It's a bunch of crap if you ask me. Nobody did but I'm telling you anyway. :ack2:

I am not a Mat Mladin fan. That being said, I hope he wins every race this year. In fact, with three "factory" Suzukis running in American Superbike (ha ha) I hope they go 1-2-3 every race.

Edmondson will love it.

Its kinda harking back to the early 60s when MV was the only real factory effort and all the rest were on out of production Manx, Matchless and Ajays. Not being a die hard AMA fan I don't know enough to really comment but it does sound like it will be a Suzuki walkover.

I can't say that I blame Suzuki for anything, but I don't fully understand why Kawasaki is sitting out. Is their bike that bad in stock form.

Yamaha and Honda (which is being run out of the Honda race shop even though it is called Corona) will be there, and Ducati to some degree, so I am not sure if it's a Suzuki walkover yet.

Looks like a joke season to me either way, all races except Daytona televised a week later? I can't get too excited to watch a race when I know the results, and I can't live under a rock for a week.
