PROBIE Doobers Temporarily Upgraded

Hey! To get the ball rolling around this joint, our Probie Doobers (those with less than 5 posts) will get a temporary permissions upgrade!

:):) Probies will now be allowed to start new topics! :):)

So, why don't you come on down to the Noober Doober forum and introduce yourself?

Probies will still need 5 posts to send Private Messages and the other restrictions shown in this thread (http://www.dooberville.com/forums/showthread.php?t=58).

Temporary permissions have been removed. We got spammed this morning with pr0n.

PROBIE DOOBERS, those with less than five (5) posts will not be allowed to start new threads until they have proven themselves.

We hate to do it, but effective immediately, all new users with less than 5 regular posts will be placed in moderation which means their posts will need to be approved before appearing on the board.

Forums everywhere are being bombed and we are no exception. We are sorry if you are a legitimate PROBIE Doober and have to put up with this but click the Contact Us link on the bottom of the main page and send an email telling us who you are and we'll bump you up.

Just wanted to update the policy as of March 3, 2009:

New members, Probie Doobers, are still limited to the following:

- Cannot start new threads
- Cannot post polls, have signatures, albums, etc.
- All posts are moderated meaning they will need to be approved

There are two ways to get around this:

1. Make five regular posts in existing threads
2. Send me a PM or use the Contact Us link and let me know you are human and how you found us.

We only do this to keep out douchenozzles and spambots that register to post crap. It's for your protection, really.

while these restrictoids are a bit of a PITA, i can see the necessity. it's just a shame that there are so many douchenozzles out there with nothing better to do than screw up somebody else's enjoyment of the wonders of the interweb.
