SEASON OPENER!

It's official, World Superbike starts this weekend from the awesome track at Philip Island. Unfortunately, the boobs at SPEEDtv are only showing us one race on Sunday and I see superbikeplanet.com has even posted a WTF comment today. Good for them. Registered Doobers can check out the broadcast times in the Upcoming Events calendar or visit our friends over at Race Fan TV (http://www.racefantv.com/USTV.htm).

With MotoGP resorting to drastic measures like no Friday practice to cut costs, SBK has 35 bikes on the grid and seemingly is the series to watch this year. Personally, I am looking to see our own Mr. Spies does on the world stage. From pre-season testing, it is looking like he just might be a factor at the finish line and wouldn't that be cool?

I'm curious too about the new BMW. With two top notch riders in the saddle, I wonder if the bike will be in the hunt from the get go or if they'll need half a season to get it sorted. All questions will be answered soon!

Stay tuned here and share your comments with the kids and check out the SBK news headlines back at the ranch, dooberville.com (http://www.dooberville.com/amasbk.htm)

Oh cool! Ben Spies fastest in the first session! Down around 8th for provisional qualifying. Times are posted at RR World & Soup so I won't put them up here, for now.

Corser and Xaus don't seem to have the BMW up to speed yet. I figured first time out on a brand new bike wasn't going to produce fantastic results so I'm not surprised.
