Okay, I found it! Here is more info on the club hosting the show and their flyer:

In reading through their website, http://www.aacme.us/index.htm they mention a picnic at Estrella Mountain Park in 1983. Believe it or not, I WAS THERE! I think I may even have pictures I took somewhere?
