Our predictions contest is completely free with no strings attached but you will need to register (http://www.dooberville.com/forums/register.php) on our forums before you can play. We have no hidden agenda, we are just trying to build our community, make some new friends and have some fun. We love MotoGP!

CONTEST RULES:
The aim of the predictions contest is to correctly guess the rider who wins the pole, the top 5 and fastest lap of the race. The winner with the most points at the end of the season will win $100.00! 2nd and 3rd place awards will be announced soon.
To be eligible, you must enter at least 10 times out of the 17 races in the 2009 season. Since the person with the MOST points will win, it is to your benefit to submit an entry for every race. Duh. One additional request is that you have at least 5 other posts on the board before the end of the season. We would like to have your opinion as well as your predictions so Doobers that enter the contest but have never posted will not be eligible. Contest entries do not count as posts. We must have at least 10 Doobers enter the contest sometime during the season or the whole thing is null and void, kinda like my brain cavity. (Note: these policies are STILL under review by the Stewards- slight re-wording on 4-26-09)
This contest is not open to staff. (Über, this means you too-you can play but not win)
POINTS BREAKDOWN
Points will be awarded as follows:
2 points for each rider predicted in the correct finishing position in the top 5
1 point for each rider correctly predicted in the top 5, but in the wrong position
1 point for correctly predicting the rider on the pole
1 point for correctly predicting fastest lap of the race
4-26-09 - RULE CLARIFICATION
In the event qualifying is rained out or pole position is decided in a way other than on the track during the scheduled session NO POINTS will be awarded for your Pick for Pole predictions.
BONUS POINTS
1 Bonus point to the Doober contributing most to our official race thread for each event - (If participation warrants, if enough people don't post, no bonus points will be awarded for the round. Top contributor assessment will be open until the Wednesday following the event)
1 Bonus point for every legitimate referral - If you bring a new member to the forum, make sure to have them enter your DooberName in the referred by field on the registration form. (we also give forum reputation points for referrals)
CONTEST ENTRIES:
A new predictions contest entry thread will be made for each race in 2009. An official race discussion thread will also be made for each event.
