OH NOES! What will happen?

The FIA has indeed summoned McLaren to appear in front of the World Motor Sport Council on April 29 on 5 charges of bringing disrepute to Formula 1. What will the punishments be if found guilty (likely)?

Any chance they will be thrown out of the constuctor's championship again?

Apparently, McLaren has also dismissed their suspended sporting director, Dave Ryan.

I sure hope they don't get more than a slap on the wrist, but who knows?

Okay, so what's in the news today?

Ecclestone: McLaren could face ban
By Jonathan Noble Thursday, April 9th 2009, 09:51 GMT

Bernie Ecclestone Formula 1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone thinks McLaren could face a ban from races after being summoned to appear before FIA's World Motor Sport Council for lying to stewards.

McLaren is to face the FIA's WMSC in the week after the Bahrain Grand Prix to answer charges that the team deliberately misled race stewards about Jarno Trulli overtaking Lewis Hamilton behind the safety car at the Australian Grand Prix, and forced Hamilton to lie too.

Although there are a range of sentences available to the FIA, which could be as little as an official reprimand, Ecclestone has not ruled out the possibility of McLaren being suspended.
