Apparently, there is no Indycar anything this weekend on Versus? Indycar.com only says ABC and the VS schedule page for the weekend shows nada. I knew some of the races were on ABC but I thought VS would still carry qualifying and maybe extended pre or post race. Guess not.

Still, This should be a good race and I'll probably catch whatever is available on the website. Milwaukee, like Phoenix, is a one mile oval and we should see some actual passing and a good battle or two.

I've read conflicting reports on Tony Kanaan. He's either got 3 broken ribs, is heavily bruised or all of the above but plans to be in the car for Sunday's race. Vitor Meira, on the other hand, is out for the season with cracked vertabrae but on the plus side, Paul Tracy will be the number 15 ABC Supply car.

Here's the entry list that came out today. One of the TBA's has been TBA'd.

Hey, where's my "real deal", Norman?

For some reason, the video feed is acting up even worse than usual. At least T&S is working fine.

With just over half of the field qualified, Briscoe is on provisional pole.

Also, the 23 TBA is Tomas Scheckter.

Whoa, Castroneves hits the wall in T2 in his qualifying attempt. Too bad for him since it looked like he had a pole run possibly.

Briscoe wins the pole, with Rahal on the outside of the front row. Graham also started on the outside pole last year.

Thanks for the updates. I didn't even watch today. :o I think the SBK chat tomorrow will start before the Indycar race is even over. What wasn't I thinking?

It seems like ABC's done even less advertising this year than last. They only showed ads for Milwaukee after the 500 was over.

Engines fire!

My stupid Superbike chat starts in an hour and 15 minutes. Dreadful timing.

Eek. Hopefully, they get in a clean race here in Milwaukee.

Good start from Graham. Great start from TK. Helio up three spots.

Good clean run so far! :thumbup1:

Scheckter had a decent start. Now has lost a few in this run.

Briscoe looks to have a run.

I just love Milwaukee.

Briscoe and Dixon by Kanaan. Rahal trying to get by him, too.

Briscoe and Dixon around Kanaan!

LittleAlguy

Briscoe about to lap Helio. His charge has stalled big time.

Oy, TK is looking bad there.

LittleAlguy

They are certainly putting on a show today.

Caution. Conway into the wall in four.

I was thinking we were almost going to see green flag stops?

Caution. Conway into the wall in four.

I was thinking we were almost going to see green flag stops?

Yeah, would it hurt them to make it all the way to a green flag stop?

Looks like Viso is dead in the water (well, pit lane).

Extra lap of yellow to get the commercials in. Green! Green! Green!

LittleAlguy

Whoa, Marco is back near the top 10.

LittleAlguy

They really did crank the wing on PT's car.

ÜberDoober

You mean that sound is the spotters talking to the drivers? What technology!

Leaders into lappers. RHR goes one down.

LittleAlguy

Get Hunter-Reay a better oval car.

Oh, Helio. Don't do that.

LittleAlguy
05-31-2009, 02:45 PM
Finally, we have green flag stops.

ÜberDoober

Fire for TK. Oh Noes!

LittleAlguy
05-31-2009, 02:49 PM
Bad break for TK.

I just wish the radio broadcast kept up. They're doing a nice job as usual.

LittleAlguy
05-31-2009, 02:56 PM
Wow, that was heart stopping. :ack2:

Grrr! Switching Indycars to the alt display and going to Superbikes. Will be watching in the background.

That's some expert analysis from Goodyear. Helio might have to stop again. Duh!

How hard is it to pronounce "Matos"?

LittleAlguy
05-31-2009, 03:11 PM
Really, what prevented Gillette from getting a brief sound bite from Marco?

ÜberDoober

Rahal has run 4th all race I think. Good for him.

LittleAlguy
05-31-2009, 03:27 PM
Nice run for Rahal.

Same for Matos.

Dixon takes the victory. #18 in IRL ICS.
