Ok, so to promote the upcoming chat deal we're trying out for World Superbike on Sunday, I have posted the invite on half a dozen forums to get the word out. Of the ones where I thought it might be a bit tacky or against rules, I PM'd the mod/admin and asked permission.

Everyone was quite gracious and kindly gave me the go ahead except of course, RePose at the SPEEDtv forums.

Promotions are not allowed. Speed is transitioning to live CHats for events. Please contact Speedy he may allow you to run Speeds chats.

Why the frak would I want to run SPEED's chats?

Prior to receiving this bad news from RePose, I had posted the invite in the Miller Superbike thread anyway. At last check, it was still there. :winky:

As far as contacting Speedy, the head admin, he and I have had some moments. I was a former moderator on the Speed forums and was fired from the job due to conflicting interests. My parting communications with him and Corner Marshall (?) were scathing and I blasted them both for inconsistent, arbitrary enforcement/interpretation of the rules and preferential treatment. Needless to say, I became a persona non grata and am surprised I wasn't banned entirely.

So, I guess it is okay for someone else to post up info about this chat but when I do it, it is no longer a invite/public notice, it is a promtion? All eerily similar to past history. I will continue to attemp to break their rules whenever I can. Honestly, I am surprised I haven't gotten yelled at already for my signature there or other things I've posted or mentioned, like our MotoGP contest.

At any rate, screw 'em. Their forum still sucks dick. If we could only get more new members or convince the ones we have to post more, this place could still take off. All they have that we don't here is members. :banghead:
