Congrats !!! You must be rich! Dang car racing is expensive. That is why I race motorcycles sometimes.

I love the prototype GT classes more than any other 4 wheel racing.

OK, I am going to sound like the moron here, but this virtual, so is this Xbox, something to that effect? I play a few PC games but I haven't tried a driving game in years and I don't own any console games. Should I? :thumbup1:

It is sim racing on the PC with rFactor. Fun stuff!

I have been racing in a league www.gtsimracing.com (http://www.gtsimracing.com). We are using an add-on mod called NAGT or North American GT. There's Corvettes, Vipers, Mustangs, Porsche 996's, Cadillac CTS-V and the Volvo that I drive.

We have a few guys here, Auslander and Pablo, that I race with. It's cool!

There's a few other posts in the Virtual Racing forum for and if you are really bored, visit www.rfactorcentral.com (http://www.rfactorcentral.com) for a look at all the car types, series and tracks that are available. I got my first win this season at Road America.

And on another note, my #1 big quad core system crapped a 500GB hard drive this morning and I completely lost the drive. Have a good backup that's a few days old but have got hours of rebuilding my environment ahead of me. Not going to work until it is done and will not get to visit the forum much today. Stay outta trouble. :winky: :D

Do you use a wheel or a joystick to drive? Just wondering what this would cost, lol.

You can get a decent wheel for $99.00, a better one for $150 and a kickass one for about $240. The base "game" itself is $40 and all of the downloadable content, cars, series' and tracks are free.

Slowly but surely, my post crash computer rebuild is taking shape. I'm now dual booting Windows XP Pro and Windows 7!

Sorry to hear your having trouble w/PC. Any idear how to get a joystick to work with MotoGP 08 - PC version? Only works with xbox controller per Mfg. There has to be a way to get a std. flight yoke to work anyway. The joystick component of xbox controller works why not a plugged in flight yoke. No rush on answer but it sure would be nice to use the game. Incredibly good control over simultaneous lean and throttle/braking. Pretty much a useless game to me otherwise.

I had 03 but it is non-vista compatible. Only worked on XP. No longer have XP. Very ticked off with the new vendor for MotoGP games, Capicom.
