Because the one at Speed Bites!
Just a week after the fantastic Indy 500, the boys and girls are off to Wisconsin for a little circle jerking. 27 cars on a mile track and some good action is inevitable. So, off we go to the race that has two names!

BAH! Totally missed qualifying waiting for a tow truck. G/F's car broke down a day after mine got fixed. Not good.
Anyway Marco & Graham on the front row! How cool is that? Will Power with a good starting spot too. Bernoldi, Servia and Viso not looking too bad either.
I'm looking forward to this one. It should be a short little catfight on a mile track. Looks like no Sarah and no Milka this round? I'll have to go read up on everything I've missed so I'll be up to speed (or at least ESPN) tomorrow. :)

Wow, nice crowd. Aside from the very top of the stands on the frontstretch, it looks pretty full.
I have Kanaan winning this race. I just hope for a thriller regardless.

Good to see ya, LittleAlguy!
Yeah, this is going to be good. Got the TV on superbike racing and ABC on the computer. AJ gives the command and we're off! :)

I love his commands to start engines. Last year, he said "Boys and Girls".
If you're already doing this, I apologize, but I recommend listening to IMS radio online.

Bell went from 21st to 10th!
A.J. IV made a big run, too.

Nice battle between Graham and TK.
Viso to 9th.

Tough luck early for Servia and Bernoldi but nice try to stay on the lead lap. Boy! We wanted a full grid but at Milwaukee it seems pretty crowded.
Kanaan around Rahal for third!

Stupid producers.

Fantastic battle for the top 6. Just 2 seconds separating them.

Dixon to the lead! Don't lose your head now, Marco.

Looks like the handle went away from Bell's car. DP just passed him for 12th.
Rahal to 2nd.

Marco is dropping like a rock.
Not this song! :ack2:

More green flags so far than I was expecting. Check that Yellow is out!

Oriol now up to 14th after the stops. Good job by him to stay on the lead lap.
This yellow should not be this long.

Dixon is just on a roll.
PROMOTE THIS MAN!

Danica got screwed or screwed herself on the stop. She won't stay ahead of Dixon for long. He's a man on a mission.

Rahal with a chop.
Dixon slowed up a bit trying to lap her.

Oh Dammit! He was running so well. :ack2:
LittleAlguy

Rahal. :( Looks like Rahal was a bit anxious. I hope they can make Texas because they've been a bit low on parts.
This is the 12th consecutive time that pit stops have come under yellow according to the IMS radio guys.
Briscoe with a nice run.
LittleAlguy

I'm glad they're actually showing the midpack battles.
Rahal not happy with Manning. Looks like Manning moved up to try to get around Rice and Rahal lost out.

No kidding good run for Briscoe. Awesome!

OMG, the audio is off sync!
Green flag pit stops. Holy moley!

Briscoe in under green. What's up with the out of sync interviews. It's pretty funny.
Nice work keeping it green with Viso's brush with the wall. It's getting down to the wire!
ÜberDoober
06-01-2008, 03:53 PM
Well that's it! That battle between Dixon and Briscoe was going to go down to the wire and the stupid wreck screwed up.
What a race though! Whew! :ack2:
LittleAlguy
06-01-2008, 03:53 PM
Looks like he did it.
Darn, I was hoping for a green flag finish.

Watching the replay, it looks like Marco came up into Carpenter. What a ride by Meira! Wow!
Pretty good race and fewer cautions than I thought. Thanks for hanging out, LittleAlguy. See ya next week! :)

How did Briscoe miss that crash?
LittleAlguy
06-01-2008, 04:35 PM
Anyway, great to see another first-time winner in the IndyCar series. Fantastic race.
Standings after today:
http://www.indycar.com/stats/points.php
Briscoe zooms to 8th. Carpenter and Andretti lose out as a result of that crash. DP moves up to 5th. Servia is right there in 7th, 4 back of Danica and 2 back of Marco.
