W00t! Time for qualifying!

After a busy morning of getting up at 5:00 for MotoGP qually and 2.5 hours or tree trimming and cleanup, I need a break! Bring it boys, I'm ready!

Vettel crashed and simply won't be racing this weekend. That's dumb. Drivers knocked out in Q1:

Bourdais
Sutil
Fisichella
Button (Honda looks terrible)
Vettel (didn't even start)

Session topped by LuHam.

Drivers knocked out in Q2

Glock
Nakajima
Coulthard
Trulli
Piquet

Lots of spins. 2 or 3 for Trulli today. Barrichello makes Q3 for the first time this season!

I cheated and watched the live timing on formula1.com. WOW! What a session and what a grid for tomorrow's race!

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g223/EKron/MontrealGrid.jpg

Hamilton topped all three sessions but what about that Robert Kubica. Alonso starting well but Massa on the 3rd row. The start should be veddy veddy interesting.

After getting up and watching the MotoGP at 5:00am this morning, it seems like forever of a wait for the GP to start. I almost forgot it was on FOX and not SPEED and even though we'll miss Windor's pit walk, the coverage should be the same unlike the fiascos we've seen on CBS.

Bring it boys! :)

My first ever live race was there in Montreal. Good memories. :)

Let's have no big crashes today.

Clean start.

ÜberDoober

Clean so far. I swear they said yesterday that Vettel wouldn't be racing today. LuHam is getting away early.

Yikes, Heidfeld nearly gets into the back of Barrichello.

1:17.5 by Hamilton.

About 28 second separation needed to hold position.

Crazy pass by Piquet. Surprised nobody got damage!

LittleAlguy

Bang! Piquet by Trulli. Went inside and lost traction.

Break-up at L'Epingle.

Raikkonen just set fast lap with a 1:17:387. Hamilton's times back in the 1:18's. Sutil bins it!

Safety car! They should have brought Hambone in before the SC.

Catastrophe! That red light at Montreal is a killer!

LittleAlguy

I can't believe that just happened.

Hamilton with a bit of brian fade.

After seeing it a few times, where the hell was LuHam's head? That was a total bonehead move except for the taking out Kimi part. :ack2:

This could be BMW's day?

LittleAlguy

Massa tops off.

Heidfeld gets out ahead of Kubica. Kubi still gets by his teammate at the Ess.

LittleAlguy

Fisi whitewalls it.

Kubi with an 11-second lead on Heidfeld.

Kubica has 10 seconds on Heidfeld but has to stop again. Alonso on Nick's butt.

Incredible job to get Kubica out ahead of Heidfeld. Could we really see two BMW's on the podium. What an upset!

That's going to bring out the SC maybe. Massa in? I thought he was good to go to the end? Nope, car is on a crane so no Safety Car. Whew!

LittleAlguy

Trulli will be truly upset about that.

1 more lap for Bob.
