Watching the streaming video for practice now. 35+ MPH wind gusts and no one wants to do much. Drivers moving out now and gently testing the conditions. Many are now starting to break 200mph.

They just announced that the race on Saturday will be tape delayed 30 minutes. That sucks!

Dixon bumps it up to a 213.837. Wheldon's new Poloroid car looks nice. When all is said and done Dixon's time holds throughout the session.

Wow! Just tuned into practice and hear Dan Wheldon crashed and got upside down. He's okay with just a banged up ankle but his car is smashed. They just interviewed him after coming out of the care center and he says he'll be ready for qualifying. They're prepping his backup car now.

Can't wait for qualifying later this afternoon!

Qualifying is underway but there doesn't seem to be any audio on the video stream. Wah! :)

<edit>
Closed out the stream and after 6 tries to get back in, audio is working fine now!

Dixon on the pole! John Andretti has impressed so far this weekend. Marco, on the other hand and Tony Kanaan are struggling. Bruno Junquiera said his car was junk, his team was junk and that he was a rolling chicane. Doesn't sound good. :)

Hello everybody.

Briscoe is in for a long night. He pitted in Wheldon's box, had to come back in for his stop and had to do a drive-thru penalty.

Viso is coming up like crazy. He's in 10th!

Wilson in trouble. Right front is deranged. His tough season continues.

Manning is out with fuel pump problems. That's his 2nd fuel pump issue of the weekend.

Ok, dammit. I was just planning to watch on TV at 7:00 local time and tuned in to see NASCAR racing. Just now tuning as they go back green.

Oops, my bad. :(

At lap 50, it seems I've missed a lot but from the looks of things, there's still plenty to come. Can't believe J.Andretti didn't get caught up in Servia's spin.

Mutoh in 3rd? Wowzer!

DP's crew didn't give her tires on the last stop. She got dusted big time on the restart.

Camara behind the wall with gearbox issues.

Scheckter back in to top off as well as Junky.

Lucky for Schecter to not get tangled with Moraes. Crazy stuff. Kicking myself for not just watching online.

Marco was unbelievable there. Briscoe shot up the field like a rocket.

The show is just now starting on ESPN2. I'll watch both and see what I missed.

Briscoe is on fire. Those side by side laps were nuts. It's still nuts!

Wow, great racing around the traffic.

Back-to-back green flag stop cycles? They exist!

And now a yellow. :ack2: ESPN is up to lap 30. :)

LittleAlguy

Yellow flag. The lead lap cars are in. They still have to make another stop in about 50 laps (taking into account yellow and if they stay green).

Where is the debris? I hope TV shows it.

Meira stays out. Some of the cars get the wave around.

ÜberDoober
06-07-2008, 09:15 PM
I think they might be saving a little fuel running behind Meira knowing he has to pit soon?

ÜberDoober
06-07-2008, 09:22 PM
Andretti to the lead and the damn free stream is only showing Meira.

Check that. Andretti to 2nd. Meira in. Now Marco is leading,

LittleAlguy

Meira in as well as the others off sequence.

HOLY SHITSKI'S!

Another win for Dixon. Haven't seen the replay yet but it looks like RHR got into Marco?

ÜberDoober
06-07-2008, 09:37 PM
At least they're both okay. Just saw the replay and RHR was to blame for sure. Too bad another race ends under caution but gosh, what a race it was!

ESPN is up to lap 90 so I think I'm going to watch it again.

LittleAlguy
06-07-2008, 09:41 PM
That was a good race. Congrats to Dixon.

Interview with RHR says Marco came down on him. Briscoe ending up in 3rd was pretty amazing considering all the trouble he had. All in all, there was a lot of excitement.

Thanks for joining all. I see HEMLOCK is lurking and maybe next time, you'll join in. The more the merrier!

It's up at 4:30 for me to catch MotoGP live and I'll be back here for F1 at 10:00 (Pacific)

Cheers!
